Verified Purchase. This is a seminal work on Post Modern Architecture. If you read literature on Post Modernist Architecture, or Post Modernism in general, you will see this author's name pop up. The text is highly readable and engaging. It is aptly illustrated with a eclectic set of images which supports the author's writing well. It is a large book with a generous layout. I had a vague grasp of what Post Modernism is, now I have a much better idea of what it represents, as what is said about the architecture can be applied to other media and culture at large.

He published over thirty books and became famous in the s as theorist of Postmodernism. His continuing project Crawick Multiverse , commissioned by the Duke of Buccleuch , opened in near Sanquhar. This thesis was the source for his Modern Movements in Architecture which criticised the suppression of some Modernist variations. Jencks married Pamela Balding in marriage ended, July, by whom he had two sons: one works as a landscape architect in Shanghai, while the other works for Jardines in Vietnam.
